We are proud to welcome Mr. James McGregor to the Club in July. A wonderful speaker with in-depth knowledge of China and its workings. His address will no doubt be of interest to everyone of us.

Jim will present an overview of the US-China trade war and the long term repercussions of the growing distrust between China and the West.

BIO

James McGregor is an American author, journalist, and businessman who has lived in China for three decades. He published  "No Ancient Wisdom, No Followers: The Challenges of Chinese Authoritarian Capitalism” and “One Billion Customers: Lessons from the Front Lines of Doing Business in China” among othersEarly in his career, McGregor was a police reporter in Los Angeles, and a political reporter in Washington D.C. He served as CEO of the Dow Jones Company, The Wall Street Journal’s bureau chief in Taiwan and China. McGregor is a former chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China and continues advise on US-China business and trade politics and policy. Jim is currently Chairman of APCO  Worldwide
