Charity Fundraising Dinner @ Kee Club

With VERY Special Guest Speaker: British Consul General - Chris Wood


Once again we shall be eschewing our 'home base' this month, and venturing to pastures clean for a fine dining, fundraising dinner at Kee Club.


In a major coup for the club, Bro. Svg. Swain has managed to secure as speaker the British Consul General - Chris Wood, who will be regaling us with tales of his most "Memorable Personal Experiences and Observations in China since 1983" (strictly under Chatham House Rule).


Our chosen charity is Heart 2 Heart, a Shanghai based charity which provides corrective surgery for Chinese children from all over China with congenital heart disease (CHD) whose parents are unable to afford the surgery.

(Further charity details will be provided on the night).

RMB 30,000 funds life saving heart surgery for one child, and our goal is to raise (at least) this through a fundraising dinner.


Bro. Svg. Wiles has generously agreed to host (and personally fund) all F&B for this event, which means that 100% of the proceeds for the evening will be going directly to the charity.


As well as the very highest end in culinary delights, libations and speaker that have been put on for the evening, there will also be a raffle with some top notch prizes to further boost the charity coffers.


With all this in mind it should be noted that the cost for the evening will be higher than our usual lunches, at RMB 1,000


That said, when considering the nature of the event, that the actual cost per head is more than double this, and that all proceeds are for charity, this is an exceptional bargain!!!
