As 2025 is coming to a close, it's time for the Shanghai Savage Club's Annual General Meeting. This is an important meeting to review the past year, lay out plans for the new year, and organize the 2026 Executive Committee. As the SSC is a member-run Club, it is important to get your feedback and ideas. But keep in mind will have all the fun of a regular Long Lunch.
The Long Lunch will be held at Abbey Road on Friday, January 9th. (Note this is the second week in January to give members additional time to return from the holidays.)
The elected positions on the Executive Committee are as follows:
- President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Assistant Treasurer
- Assistant Secretary
This year we have several open positions the incumbents are not standing for re-election. This is a members run club and we need people to step up to ensure the smooth continuation of the club. So we are looking for volunteers to step up as President, Secretary and Assistant Treasurer. The above notwithstanding members may apply for any position.
If there is only one candidate for an elected position at the time of the AGM, then members at the AGM will vote on confirming that position. For contested positions or those remaining open after the AGM, and election will be held in person at the February Long Lunch (or by absentee vote).
To be considered for election, one must be a fully paid up standard member of the Club (fully paid means that dues must have been paid for 2026).
